Okay, so I've been somewhat behind on my blogging, and I have no excuse. We just got back to school from Christmas break yesterday, and then today we had a snow day! However, I did get a new camera for Christmas, and I have some great pics that I want to upload on here, but when I went to do it I realized it won't work on our old, hunk-of-crap computer...so pictures from Christmas & New Year's will soon follow.
Nolan had a great Christmas. It was a little weird since it was our first Christmas where we did not travel on Christmas Eve & Christmas day. It was nice being home, and it'll be nice for Nolan to have Santa come to his house (although he still didn't quite get the gist of it yet). We went and looked at the lights at The Shrine on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas day my family came. Nolan received many gifts and we've had to clean out his toy box of smaller toys to make room for the new, big toys! I'm starting to think that with all of the toys and baby items I own that I could easily run a daycare!
Nolan is 3 months away from his 2nd Birthday! I can't believe it. He's getting so big and so much more talkative. We here "Mommy", "Daddy", and "Heyyy" about 1,000 times a day, but it's absolutely amazing to see the things he now notices...the smallest of things. He's picking up on everything so quickly it almost baffles us. For example, he was taking a shower with Brian the other day and he started saying "Daddy...ba-it ball" (basketball). Brian could not figure out where this was coming from, finally Nolan took Brian's face in his hands and turned it in the direction of Brian's soap...which sure enough had a tiny picture of a guy's arm shooting a basketball! Parenthood has been wonderful and we cannot wait to see what 2009 holds for us. We wish you happiness, good health, & a fabulous 2009!
