Nolan's Wish List

He was a little squirmy and for some reason he's never in the mood to entertain on his own when the camera starts rolling. I need to master the art of having the video ready and hiding, so he'll do what I thought was cute prior to actually seeing me trying to capture the moment.

All I Want for Christmas...

If you recall, last year's visit to see the Big Guy, didn't go quite so well. Granted, it was a bit humerous for the adults, but not so much humor for Nolan. This year was a completely different experience in every sense of the word! He absolutely, positively, LOVED Santa and everything about him. Shortly after Thanksgiving, he gave some resistance to the whole idea of Santa and would often tell me that he did not like him "b-cause he has a white beawrd," and that was that. When I would let him know that if he didn't like him, then Santa may not bring him presents then, his reply was always, "don't tell 'im I don't like 'im!"

We owe many thanks to our 1 year old niece, Makayla, for providing Nolan with some much needed courage. Once he saw her sitting on Santa's lap and smiling, he couldn't wait to do the same thing! Monday night he had his chance...

Upon seeing Santa, Nolan let out a very loud & deafening shrill of delight and excitement! We were able to see 3 reindeer while waiting in line to sit on Santa's lap.

Below is a list of Nolan's random comments to Santa this year:

*I want a Bobot (Robot, which is very high on his list this year for some reason)

*I pee on the potty

*I'm 2

*What's his name? (pointing to the reindeer) Is that Cupid?

The funniest part was that he wouldn't turn around and look at Santa while talking to him except when he told him that he pees on the potty! All in all, it was a successful visit that he's still talking about today. We hope your name will be found on Santa's Nice List, too this year!

You're a Mean One...Mr. Grinch

STINK, STANK, STUNK or not...Nolan LOVES The Grinch this holiday season! While at his Meemaw & Papa's house this past weekend he watched it OVER & OVER & OVER! While Meemaw & Papa were busy in the kitchen, Nolan came strolling in with a green face & arms! Meemaw bought new crayons, and these were for a wipe on/off board...well, apparently they're good for coloring yourself, too. He proudly told them that he "wanted to be The Grinch." Unfortunately, I wasn't there, or else I would have snapped a picture! However, I did get the 158th time of watching The Grinch w/ Papa on film...
