Okay, so my curiosity has gotten the very best of me. I looked at the Chinese Gender Chart when I was pregnant with Nolan and it predicted "boy," obviously true. It's once again predicting another boy. I don't fully believe in all of that stuff (just like I don't buy into everyone saying since this one's heartrate is so much higher than Nolan's it's 'got to be a girl'; and similarly, I don't fully believe that because I'm carrying differently it'll be a different gender), but I do think it's fun, entertaining, and something to ponder. The curious part that has gotten me is the fact that I've had several friends & co-workers do it with their children just to see if it was true for them...
The results? I have YET to find someone that it hasn't been true for. So, I'm asking you...think back to the 2 factors needed (age of conception and month of conception)...is it true for you, too?
Here's a link to one of the many charts: Chinese Gender Chart
Well, the Chinese Gender Chart is accurate on my account! The chart says we are having a boy, and we are indeed having a little man! :)
ReplyDeleteFunny because with now carrying my third child, I've noticed the myths of heartbeat rates, the way I'm carrying, or how I feel during the pregnancy have NOTHING to do with the gender of the baby...at least not for me. I think my two most different pregnancies were with Mabry and Kamry...both girls! Not only were my pregnancies with them so different, but my how different each child can be! I'm so intrigued/amazed how the same two people can produce children with such differences...appearances, personalities, etc. I love it! :)
Thanks for sharing, Buttry!! :) I love your little girls & can't wait to meet the new man in your life.
ReplyDeleteChinese Gender Chart says I am having a boy... sure enough! But would it have ever predicted I was having two! Hahaha!!

Wrong for me :) I really wanted a girl and was so excited when it predicted that.. until the ultrasound.
ReplyDeleteChinese Gender chart was was wrong for Brennan. It stated we were having a girl... which would have been fine having the best of both worlds! Until we saw the "part", we were convinced we were having a girl... just that feeling! As for Ty.. it was pretty dead on!
ReplyDeleteHi Mandy! The Chinese Gender Chart was right for Calla. We also did the necklace thing (where you twirl it over your belly and see how it sways?) and it too said we'd be having a girl. I'm thinking we did one of the other "tests" but I can't remember now what it was-- but it also pointed to girl so with all that I was feeling pretty sure when we went in for the gender ultrasound. Fun stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteThe chart was right for all 3 of my kids. I don't really buy into it all that much either, but like you said, it is fun and interesting. I'm sure if we decide to have more kids I'll consult the chart first :) All the "wives tales" were inaccurate for Pierce. He had a high heartrate and I carried him a lot higher than Brady, more like Reese. Lots of people thought he was girl, but obviously that wasn't the case! Every pregnancy is different and you'll love seeing the sometimes extreme differences in your kids! Hope you're feeling well and I love the blog :)

It was true both times for us. With Avery, all of the old wives tales were true also. With this one, the old wives tales said boy. Heart rate myth was true for both of them. I don't give it a whole lot of stock, but it's fun speculation!
ReplyDeleteHey Mandy! It's Lisa! Nolan is so adorable, love your blog!! I did the gender testing and I'm shocked...it was incorrect for us! And actually the heartbeat wasn't leaning towards boy either. But I think it's fun to do all these little tests :)
