I would like to start by saying we have not been working with Nolan on potty training at all. I still feel he's too young with not even being two & he's a boy! In my experience at La Petite for 5 years, I dealt with the 2's & 3's room frequently. It's just been the trend that boys have taken the longest to train. Nolan has been waking up in the morning dry for several months, and even remaining dry up until 10 minutes after being awake, to even not going at all until we make it to the babysitter's. With that said, on Wednesday night, Nolan kept telling us "Pee-Pee", well I checked his diaper and it was dry, but he wouldn't give up. Finally when he continued saying it and pointing down there, Brian took him back to the bathroom and put him in on our toliet. Sure enough, the moment he sat him down he began to pee! He was so excited (as were we)! I still figured I will not push this, but maybe when he says he wants to then I'll let him. Thursday he did the same thing a couple of times (we were off work) throughout the day. It was exciting, but very hard to believe at the same time. It's bittersweet - my little boy is growing up!
*P.S. He has seen a couple of the kids at Jen's working on potty training, so I'm assuming this is where his sudden inspiration came from!
What a big boy!!
